You can’t seriously be thinking about business if you haven’t developed a business plan.  A business plan is absolutely necessary for a number of reasons.  The main reason for a plan is so that you can see for yourself what you are doing and what you are working towards each day.  If you start a business without a plan then your business could end up anywhere.  You may even end up changing direction in mid flow and start doing something else which has turned up quite unexpectedly.  I’m not saying that new ideas cannot be incorporated but it would be better if you had a clear structure to incorporate new ideas into.  Ideas could chop and change and go all over the place if there isn’t a structured plan to refer to.
